PayPal Announces the launch of Paypal Here SDK

PayPal has announced the launch of their PayPal Here SDK – which makes it easy for businesses to sell in-store or on the go from their iOS/Android smartphone or iPad.

The PayPal Here SDK,  is simple to integrate with an easy to use API. It is a system that allows partners and developers to use the same SDK to implement payment solutions across several different geographic locations. They have also listened to the needs of their growing merchant customers, and have included the features and functionality important to them in their new PayPal Here SDK. This includes the ability to interact with credit card readers so customers can easily swipe their card at the merchant’s point-of-sale, streamline payments, manage CRM and inventory, create and maintain invoices, calculate totals, discounts and taxes, and the ability to provide a more personalized and engaging customer experience at checkout.

They are launching the PayPal Here SDK with a couple of key partners including: Ecwid, which helps businesses create beautiful online storefronts, and GoDaddy, the world’s largest technology provider dedicated to small businesses. Ecwid and GoDaddy integrated their native apps with PayPal Here SDK to help their merchants provide a seamless buying experience for their in-store customers, and in turn, drive cross-channel sales. With their Ecwid collaboration, merchants will be able to link their in-store and on-mobile sales with their existing online sales data and inventory – blending together the online, in person and mobile worlds to be able to better personalize experiences for their customers.

The world of mobile commerce is growing, with transaction volume and revenue forecasted to increase 36 percent by 2017. Through GoDaddy Get Paid and Ecwid’s mobile app, merchants can quickly and securely accept credit/debit cards, PayPal payments, track cash and invoice payments. There’s also no need for merchants to purchase an additional card swiper, since the GoDaddy and Ecwid apps are compatible with the PayPal Here card reader. Merchants will automatically be listed in the PayPal app, where they will be searchable by millions of PayPal users in the US. Merchants will receive very competitive pricing with no hidden fees or charges.
