Bitcoin Events (Pty) Ltd invites your organisation to support the 3rd annual Blockchain Africa Conference to be held on the 1-3 March 2017, in Johannesburg.

The Conference will bring together a diverse range of experts on blockchain technology to discuss many of the opportunities, use-cases, challenges and exciting possibilities that can be leveraged in Africa.

Earlier this year Barclays, member of Absa, one of SA’s largest banks, co-hosted the Blockchain & Bitcoin Africa Conference 2016. The conference proved to be a huge success, with all 200 tickets sold out and attended by the South African Reserve Bank, Financial Intelligence Centre, Bankserv and executives from Barclays Africa Bank, Absa Bank, Standard Bank, First National Bank, Nedbank, Rand Merchant Bank, Investec, PwC, Deloitte and many other well-known companies. We had fantastic feedback from our co-hosts, Barclays/Absa who enjoyed the conference tremendously. We also had TV coverage in terms of interviews with the speakers and the Master of Ceremonies by the well-known local digital satellite TV service in Africa, DSTV and investigative journalism programme, Carte Blanche.

Bitcoin Events has pioneered professional blockchain and digital currency conferences in South Africa since 2014. In just a few years we have mustered large interest and resources from a multitude of industries in support of bringing international and local blockchain thought-leaders to South Africa. Your organisation can too help to make an impact in keeping South Africa informed of the cutting edge technology and finance innovations.

Why Blockchain:

The world’s largest organisations are looking at blockchain technology as a means to improve their existing services, systems and products by leveraging its key features: security, transparency, full life-cycle transaction history, real-time, immutability and cost-efficiency. Key international influencers in the financial services and technology industry have expressed their interest in the future adoption of this technology. For example:

Bob Greifield CEO of NASDAQ has said, “Blockchain technology continues to redefine not only how the exchange sector operates, but the global financial economy as a whole”.

Jamie Dimon CEO of JP Morgan also expressed that,  “The blockchain is a technology which we’ve been studying, and yes it’s real, it can probably reduce the cost of doing business. If it proves to be cheap and secure, it would be adopted for a whole bunch of stuff.”

What We Are Asking:

As we curate and finalise the conference we want you to participate by becoming a press partner.

We are asking your organisation to cover the conference on your media outlet to help inform your audience about this opportunity. This may include Interviews, editorials, or social media announcements. We will provide monthly press releases for distribution to your audience.
