Exim Bank Tanzania Launches its First Cash Deposit Machine

Exim Bank has unveiled Cash Deposit Machine for Pacific International Lines (PIL) customers to deposit cash directly to their accounts. The CDM which has recently been placed at Maktaba Square will exclusively be used by PIL and their clients for depositing cash in US dollars of all denominations.

“The CDM will now enable Pacific International Lines (PIL) customers to deposit cash which will be instantly credited into their respective accounts. In the meantime, this service can be accessed by the PIL clients throughout PIL’s working hours; from 8:00 am to 04:30 pm,” Exim Bank, Group Head, Branch Operations, Mr Eugen Massawe said in Dar es Salaam.

“Depositors shall receive full assistance from the teller at PIL. Further assistance can be offered from fully trained staff at PIL.”

The launch of the CDM further substantiates Exim’s commitment and continued efforts to improve both corporate and retail customer experience by simplifying their means of transactions and making banking with Exim more convenient.

Mr Massawe pointed out that, the CDM is designed to further promote self service culture thus embedding control in the hands of the customer.

After each deposit, the customer shall receive a receipt printout indicating the denomination breakdown of the amount deposited and confirmation that the transaction was successfully credited to account.

“The depositor will also receive an SMS/email alert, if he or she subscribes to the service”, he explained while insisting: “Exim has remained customer-centric bank and is in a constant quest for innovative ways to surpass customers’ expectations.’’

Mr Massawe said the machine has been installed near the Bank’s headquarters for customers’ convenience and easy reference towards this new service.
