Access Bank Expands Services Countrywide

Access Bank Tanzania has appointed agents countrywide dubbed ‘Access Bank WAKALA’ being part of initiatives to expand its range of financial services to its customers.

Through the agents, customers can easily access various real time services such as cash deposit, cash withdrawal and initiate the process of account opening remotely without necessarily visiting a branch.

Speaking at a recent one-day workshop for its progressive agents in Dar es Salaam, the Agent Banking Manager of AccessBank, Mr Andrew Lukandamila, underlined the best practices for successful agent business by building on existing knowledge and experience. He noted that the bank has planned a sustainable programme for conducting agents’ forum at least once per quarter.

He maintained that the Bank would continue to support and empower its agents to provide quality services to customers. Speaking after the workshop, one of the agents based at Bunju A, Dar es Salaam, Ms Marium Mkumbo, said she was able to maximize her business capital from hefty commissions from Access Bank.

“My stationery business is now blossoming through the increased popularity and traction”, she said urging those who aspire to become agents, to submit their requests to enjoy the subsequent benefits and support from the bank.
