Ameriabank and telecom company Orange Armenia have launched an online payment service designed for Orange Armenia subscribers. Who’ll be able to pay for any type of service with ArCa, MasterCard and Visa cards, issued by Armenian banks.
Orange Armenia subscribers can now use ArCa, MasterCard and Visa payment cards, issued by Armenian banks, to pay their bills for all services. Online payments carried out through www.orangearmenia.am are immediately transferred to the subscriber’s balance.
The VbV (Verified by Visa) and SecureCode (3D Secure MasterCard) technologies used to provide the new service allow high level of security for on-line transactions. Ameriabank is a universal bank providing investment, corporate and retail banking services in the form of a package of banking solutions.
“The joint Ameriabank-Orange Armenia project is another major step in the development of e-commerce in Armenia,” the head of Ameriabank IT management and automation programs Beniamin Tadevosyan stated.
“To facilitate the payment of bills by using ArCa, MasterCard and Visa cards through websites offering e-commerce, as well as for further service, we have developed a software tool vPOS (virtual terminal) that can be installed on the site without the need for large-scale programming and adjustment work,” he said.
