Stanbic Bank says keeping account security is a top priority to make customers free from stress of losing their money.
According to the Stanbic Bank Head of Channels Farha Mohamed, the bank has a primary role to play in keeping secure the banking details but customers too play vital role in ensuring the account security.
“We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of your banking details,” said Farha Mohamed, adding that it has never been easier to access your bank account and keep track of your funds using Stanbic Tanzania’s new internet and mobile banking offerings.
The bank are supposed to monitor closely the sites that pretend to represent it or any of the subsidiaries. “When one is found,it must be closed down instantly,” she said.
Bankers should inform customers regularly on the new ways criminals may use to get information on their clients. The best defense against criminal activity in your bank account is just to stay vigilant and use common sense.
Keep sensitive information and cards private and in safe places and regularly check your account activity.
