Crédit Agricole Selects Ingenico for its 3G Mobile Payment Solutions

Crédit Agricole has chosen Ingenico, a provider of payment solutions, to enable the bank to roll out mobile and contactless payment terminals to merchants who are clients of the networks of Regional Banks and LCL.

Crédit Agricole is the first French banking group to offer Ingenico’s iWL250 3G mobile payment terminal in its catalogue. This light and compact terminal is suited to all kinds of usage. Combined with a wide range of options, the innovative and secure terminal offers a comprehensive response to merchants’ mobility, communication and operating cost optimisation requirements.

“Ingenico is very much in tune with behavioural developments related to new payment methods. We support these changes by offering comprehensive secure solutions that combine payment terminals and dedicated applications,” explains David Gebhardt, the managing director of Ingenico France. “Our 3G offering met Crédit Agricole’s expectations: it is a solution that goes above and beyond traditional payment scenarios.”

With over 300,000 terminals deployed to date, Crédit Agricole is once again opting to equip its merchants with the very latest generation technological and security solutions. It is increasing its offering of mobile payment services, a source of development for its pro clients. This innovation is the result of a collective effort between Ingenico’s engineers and Crédit Agricole’s main specialists.

“Combining mobility, availability, usability and security, the iWL250 is the solution we wanted to offer our merchant clients,” states Yves Perrachon, Crédit Agricole’s Cards & Payments Director of Operations. “Contactless technology enhances the payment experience and adapts to new types of consumer behaviour.”
