DirectBuy Expands Partnership with FTNI to Accept Online Payments in the U.S. and Canada

DirectBuy, the membership club that enables members to save across a wide variety of merchandise for their home and lifestyle, and Financial Transmission Network Inc. (FTNI), a leading provider of payment processing solutions, announced that DirectBuy has recently expanded its use of FTNI’s cloud-based receivables processing platform, ETran, to process and manage all online merchandise order transactions for DirectBuy in the U.S. and Canada.

The launch of ETran to support online merchandise transactions enables DirectBuy Corporate to process and manage online credit card purchases on behalf of DirectBuy locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. ETran’s single user interface delivers DirectBuy Corporate with significant accounting and operational benefits by enabling a consolidated view of all transaction and payment activity across all DirectBuy locations.

In addition to supporting online merchandise transactions, ETran also delivers DirectBuy Corporate the ability to accept online credit card payments for various other monthly and annual receivables. Through the expansion of this partnership, DirectBuy Corporate now processes and manages online transactions for nearly 90 DirectBuy locations in the U.S. and Canada on the ETran platform.

“Our partnership with FTNI is an important component of our online business strategy and plan,” said Armin Roeseler, CIO of DirectBuy. “By aligning with vendors that share our vision and deliver enabling technologies, we are now able to provide a secure online payment solution that greatly enhances the purchase experience of all our members. Since PCI compliance is of paramount importance to us, the FTNI payment solution provides the “peace of mind” our members expect when they transact with DirectBuy over the Internet.”

FTNI’s ETran solution is a flexible, cloud-based, single-source payments platform and data warehouse ideal for businesses with one or many locations, payment channels, divisions or brands. Delivered in an easy-to-deploy modular design, ETran allows businesses to seamlessly add multiple payment types and channels to the platform, providing a real-time, enterprise-wide view of all check, ACH, credit, debit and cash payments for superior receivables management.

“FTNI is committed to not only growing our portfolio of solutions and services to meet and exceed the needs of our customers, but also to expanding the geographic regions where they can be implemented,” said Kurt Matis, President & CEO, FTNI. “We’re excited to support DirectBuy’s growth of accepting online credit card payments within the U.S. and Canadian markets and look forward to the continued expansion of this partnership.”
