FNB Bank in Savings Promotion Campaign

First National Bank (FNB) Tanzania has asked Tanzanians to cultivate the culture of saving that provides significant source of capital and a tool to alleviate poverty.

“Saving is an important tool that can provide variety of benefits to both an individual and the nation as source of capital and investment,” said the FNB Head of Retail Banking, Mr Francois Botha, in Dar es Salaam at the launch of the bank’s ‘save and win’ promotion.

He said through the FNB’s ‘save and win’ promotion, loyal and new customers will receive automatic entry in the draw for every 50,000/- deposited and the more saving, more the chances of winning up to 5m/- every month till December starting October 1st.

He said saving has many implications and visible impacts to an individual including interest rates, assuring secure financial future and above all benefiting from various rewards during special campaigns like ‘save and win’.

“In line with the bank’s tradition of providing rewards and benefits to its customers while continuing to offer high quality banking solutions, FNB Tanzania provides an opportunity to its customers to be rewarded while creating secure financial future through the three months campaign.”

The FNB Channel and Distribution Manager, Ms Masala Korosso, said the campaign aims at encouraging Tanzanians to save money for a secure financial future.

In a bid to make life easier and convenience in accessing bank services, FNB has invested in latest innovations in digital banking, the smartphone banking app last year, the first of its kind to launch in Africa in 2011. The App gives clients anytime, anywhere, safe and secure banking.

The App works with iOS Apple, BlackBerry10 as well as Android Smartphones. It is available as a free download from the App stores.

FNB is a pan African bank that has been operating in the Sub-Saharan African countries since 1874. It currently operates in Tanzania, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Lesotho, South Africa and Swaziland.
