FNB Bank Opens New Branch in Dar es Salaam

First National Bank (FNB) has opened a branch at Mbezi Beach in Dar es Salaam, bringing the number of branches in its network in the country to eight.

“We are delighted to open our new branch at Mbezi Beach which is the eighth amongst the branch network as part of our strategic plan to expand our network,” said FNB Head of Retail Business, Mr Francois Botha.

“We are constantly thinking of ways in which we can provide greater banking convenience to our clients. Our Mbezi Beach branch will provide comprehensive banking solutions to customers living in Mbezi and neighbouring areas,” he said.

The FNB Head of Product and Digital Banking, Mr Silvest Arumasi emphasized that the bank has opened the Mbezi Beach branch in the interest of the rapid growth of Dar es Salaam. “It’s our utmost priority to ensure that we reach out to our customers in locations that are most convenient to them.

We aim to play a key role in the development of Tanzania’s financial sector and plan to continue introducing innovative banking solutions and expertise in the country,” Mr Arumasi said.

FNB is a pan African bank which has been operating in sub-Saharan African countries since 1874. FNB currently operates in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Lesotho, South Africa, Swaziland and Tanzania. FNB Tanzania officially opened its doors to the public on July 27, 2011.
