Forte Oil plc, Nigeria’s foremost petroleum products retailer announced its partnership with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, through the launch of “GTExpress”; a comprehensive Agent Banking Service at its locations nationwide. This is a part of GTB’s efforts at bringing banking services to the door step of its existing and potential customers. The Bank has rolled out in 14 Forte Oil locations including Western Avenue, Surulere; Bank Road, Ikoyi; Local Airport Road, Ikeja; Festac; Olorunsogo, Mushin; Shomolu, Ikorodu Road, Apapa-Oshodi/ Mile 2 Expressway; Boundary Road Ajegunle; Campos Square Lagos Island, Jebba, Ebute Metta; Old Apapa Road; Wharf Road and Kingsway Road, Apapa.
The customers at these same locations are also able to access Forte Oil’s premium petroleum products, such as premium motor spirit (PMS/petrol), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO/diesel); its renowned top quality lubricant brands such as the Super Visco, Visco 2000 and Synth1000 to mention but a few; as well as other non-fuel services such as telecommunications, quick services restaurants, grocery stores, car wash and quick vehicle repair.
Having already entered into a similar agreement with MTN, a globally recognized telecommunications brand to bring communications services within the reach of Nigerians at hundreds of Forte Oil outlets, the partnership with GTBank further reinforces Forte Oil’s pursuit to building its forecourts into a web of unrivalled shopping convenience where its customers are poised to enjoy services beyond purchases of petroleum products through strategic partnerships with global and reputable brands.
According to the Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank plc; Segun Agbaje “The unbanked sector of the economy presents a significant growth area for banks in emerging markets.
