ROAM, an Ingenico company and mobile commerce platform provider, and iPayment, Inc., a leading acquirer (and a registered ISO/MSP of Wells Fargo Bank, one of the USA’s largest banks), announced a new program in which iPayment will use ROAM’s mobile commerce platform to deliver a suite of mobile point of sale (mPOS) solutions to its merchants throughout the United States.
ROAM will provide iPayment merchants with a complete end-to-end solution, including the G4X Secure Mobile Card Reader, ROAMpay X4 Mobile POS Application and the myROAM management portal.
“Our merchants and sales partners rely on iPayment to provide best in class mPOS solutions to position them for continued growth in their respective businesses,” says Carl Grimstad, CEO of iPayment. “We partnered with ROAM because they understand that each of our small business merchants has unique payment requirements, and that one solution does not fit all.”
According to the news release, ROAM’s platform capabilities support the largest number of mobile devices of any mPOS provider, including iOS and Android based smartphones and tablets.
“Our partnership with iPayment is just the latest example of our commitment to enabling merchant facing organizations to get to market quickly with industry leading and secure mobile point of sale solutions,” says Ken Paull, CEO of ROAM. “The ROAM mCommerce platform provides iPayment with the ability to immediately leverage our robust set of tools, services and applications to meet the needs of their customers. We’ve invested years of development in order to create a scalable and secure mobile commerce platform so that our partners can focus on helping their merchants reinvent their businesses via the mobile channel.”
