MasterCard Announces Head of Emerging Payments for MEA

MasterCard announced the appointment of Aaron Oliver as Head of Emerging Payments for the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

Aaron will be responsible for introducing and managing Emerging Payment products to meet the evolving needs of consumers and effectively support MasterCard’s future growth in the region. Aaron joins MasterCard from Visa where he held the position of Senior Business Leader, Mobile Money – Asia Pacific, and was responsible for securing key customers for mobile money projects besides also leading the integration of Fundamo with CyberSource.

Prior to his role at Visa, Aaron has held key leadership positions that include Managing Director, Fundamo Asia, Principal Consultant at HSL Consulting, Vice President mCommerce Services at Utiba, Professional Services Manager at SunGard Asia Pacific, Licensing Technology Director at CBS MarketWatch, Management Consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers E-Commerce solutions, Developer at SunGard Futures and Options systems, and Programmer at Cray Research.
