NCR now offers its NCR Cloud Services via two highly secure, category Tier 3 data centres in Frankfurt/Main, Germany and Amsterdam, Netherlands to meet the rising demand for cloud computing. According to market forecasts presented by the Experton Group, German companies will be investing around 17 percent of their IT budget in cloud computing by 2017.
NCR’s hosting services help NCR customers reduce costs and provide fast, efficient and secure services without the need to maintain resources at their own data centres. Services include OS Support, Application Administration, Database Administration and Network Management.
The data centres provide over 300,000 square feet of colocation space and are a focal point of Europe’s banking, retail, transport, and telecommunications infrastructure. The Frankfurt Data Center is the main operations hub and the Amsterdam Data Center is designed for disaster recovery.
Quality management is central to NCR’s Cloud Services. The Amsterdam and Frankfurt Data Centres are certified by various standards organizations, so customers can be sure that the highest quality standards in the sector are met. Some of the certifications include:
- ISO9001 (Quality Management), ISO 27001 (Information Security)
- PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider
- SSAE16 & SAS70 type II compliant (Frankfurt centre)
“NCR Cloud Services allow companies from different industries to use NCR’s hosting solutions in a flexible and cost-effective manner, improving the service they offer their customers and partners,” said Klaus Giljohann, NCR Vice President Professional Services Europe. “Thanks to these data centres, we are offering reliability and information security in Europe and meet the European requirements in terms of compliance and data security – two topics that are currently of concern to all customers.”
