Students in higher learning institutions have been implored to grab the opportunity of owning new bank account with the National Microfinance Bank (NMB) which offers attractive benefits.
The NMB Personal Banking Manager Mr Julius Konyani told reporters in Dar es Salaam that the benefits will be available during the special campaign branded Ki-College Plus NMB.
“Students opening NMB Student Account will continue to enjoy attractive benefits of low opening balance of 10,000/-, free ATM withdrawal, free NMB mobile registration, withdraw up to 1m/- in over 500 NMB ATM and receive free NMB SMS alert for every ATM transaction,” he said.
He said the uniqueness of the new product when compared to others is the technology used in opening the bank account where it will take about seven minutes to complete all procedures, the move that will be easy and time saving.
With the Instant bank account opening technology, he said, students will also get the debit card already activated where under normal circumstances, it takes up to two weeks to have a new bank account.
New students opening NMB Student Account or those who register and or use NMB mobile or existing student account holders crediting their account during promotion period will automatically enter into a draw and stand to win several prizes including mobile phones and NMB branded T-shirts.
He said more than 100 pieces of Samsung galaxy pocket mobile phones and over 500 NMB t-shirts as prizes for the winners where three draws will be conducted during the campaign period that will run starting this month through December 2013.
