BankservAfrica is pleased to announce the appointment of Bishnen Kumalo as the Executive Head of SA Modernisation. She joins BankservAfrica on 1 March 2021 and will become the latest member of BankservAfrica’s executive team.

Bishnen has over 20 years of experience in Transactional Banking, new Digital Technologies, Programme Delivery and Execution, Operational and Financial Management.
Before joining BankservAfrica, Bishnen was the Head of Mobile Money and Strategic Partnerships at Absa. She coupled her technology domain experience with traditional banking product management skills and engaged with different fintechs to support the bank’s digital transformation journey.
Bishnen has also spearheaded the roll-out of two transactional banking platforms across eleven Barclays African countries. She has also been a key contributor in overseeing the divestment of Barclays PLC in relation to Corporate Channels as well as defining the new strategy.
Bishnen is a highly driven and energetic individual with experience in managing large complex implementations, leading and driving execution excellence in her teams while balancing the demands of senior executives and geographically dispersed customer expectations. She is passionate about the benefits that technology can yield for the betterment of communities.
