Dar es Salaam based I&M bank yesterday launched a three-month RICHES Campaign to encourage individuals, employees, students and businesspeople to open accounts for savings and other business requirements.
Under the campaign, account holders with the bank will qualify for the monthly raffles through which winners will be awarded 20m/-.
“All Tanzanians are welcome to open accounts with us, and qualify for the monthly competitions,” said the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Baseer, hinting that to qualify for the raffle the account should have at least 200,000/-.
I&M Bank a publicly quoted firm on the Nairobi Stock Exchange and a flagship company of I&M Holdings group, entered Tanzania’s commercial banking sector in 2010 with the acquisition of CF Union Bank Ltd, which had been in operation since 2001.
“We provide the state-of-the-art technology products and services to meet the dynamic needs of the banking community in Tanzania,” Mr Baseer said at the brief launching ceremony in the city citing the VISA ATM debit cards, VISA prepaid travel cards and multi currency prepaid travel master cards as the technology that reduces the risk of carrying bulk cash.
The CEO boosted of the bank’s rapid growth thanks to conducive banking environment. “The bank is growing strong with continuous expansion of branch network that covers the key locations in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Moshi and Mwanza” he said, noting that the bank so far has eight branches in the country.
The bank has also opened state of the art technology Service Lounge in Dar es Salaam to meet requirements of the bank’s customers any time any day said, Mr Baseer.
“We are the only bank in Tanzania with services like 24/7 automated foreign cash converting and cash deposit machines” he said.
