Ingo Money has announced the addition of Lisa McFarland as executive vice president and chief marketing officer. In this role, she will lead product strategy and marketing for the company’s Ingo Money Network and Ingo Enterprise Solutions business lines.
McFarland brings nearly two decades of expertise in product development, marketing and strategic sales support for B2B and B2C payment card programs. Most recently at Visa, McFarland served as head of Consumer Prepaid Products, where she conceived and executed the company’s product, channel and network development strategies for its consumer prepaid group. She provided strategic consultation to leading prepaid card providers, financial institutions and regulatory agencies with emphasis on financial services innovation to strengthen the consumer value proposition, drive financial inclusion and accelerate profitable growth for Visa issuers and partners. During her tenure, McFarland oversaw 309% growth in Visa’s consumer prepaid business and the emergence of prepaid programs offered by leading financial institutions, critical to mainstream adoption of prepaid products.
“Over the last several weeks we have expanded the Ingo Money executive leadership team to extend our collective skill sets and provide the level of management support needed to meet accelerating demand for our unique technology services,” said Drew Edwards, founder and CEO, Ingo Money. “Lisa’s industry expertise provides a powerful dimension to our management team. Her experience in nurturing new payment products and technology solutions from the infancy stages into mature and successful business lines will be invaluable to Ingo Money and its mission to transform the payments industry for the benefit of consumers and financial services providers.”
McFarland began her career at American Express, where she served most recently in the Global Payment Options division as vice president of Prepaid Card Product Management. In this role, she led a team responsible for consumer product design, development and implementation, growing the company’s fledgling Gift Card business into a more than $1 billion industry-leading card portfolio. McFarland’s prior roles at American Express in the Global Commercial Card Payments division included director of Corporate Card Product Management, where she was responsible for the design, development, marketing and end-user adoption of emerging, online servicing capabilities; director of Online Product Marketing, where she was responsible for the development and launch of the division’s marketing website and online sales channel; and director of Business Strategy and Communications, where she created sales strategies, product marketing content and sales support communications for the American Express commercial card product lines.
“Ingo Money is commercializing network and embedded enterprise services that provide consumers and small businesses with unprecedented access to their money across channels and platforms,” said McFarland. “I am thrilled to join the dedicated and talented group of professionals at Ingo Money who share a singular vision: to transform banking for people across all age groups and income spectrums, helping them better manage their cash flow needs and meet their financial obligations.”
