iVeri Payment Technologies Recognised with Technology Leadership Award

Frost & Sullivan, a leading global market research and growth consulting firm, has acknowledged iVeri Payment Technologies for demonstrating technological innovation in Sub-Saharan Africa’s (SSA) banking industry. iVeri has earned the prestigious Frost & Sullivan 2015 Technology Leadership Award for its two exciting banking solutions, Payment Gateway and MicroBank+.

Payment technologies in Africa have a unique set of challenges due to factors such as lack of infrastructure, intermittent Internet access, and power outages. As SSA advances technologically, the need for access to banking services and payment technologies increases. As a company that has been at the forefront of electronic payment technology since 1998, iVeri remains committed to developing cutting-edge banking solutions.

iVeri’s Payment Gateway is a multi-channel card payment acceptance system that enables access to various services from remote payment devices to real-time transaction monitoring. Since multiple payment options are accepted, more transactions can be processed, enabling the merchant or online retailer to boost their volume of sales.

MicroBank+, iVeri’s second product innovation, is a sophisticated banking solution that allows banks to enter rural areas without of a brick-and-mortar branch but with the security present in a branch. Furthermore, banking clients are able to perform transactions like deposits and withdrawals without having to travel long distances to the nearest town.

“iVeri continues to be an industry leader, driven by its ability to continuously keep up with new technology trends.” Says Danielle de la Mare, Best Practices Group Leader at Frost & Sullivan “iVeri’s certified, affordable, and flexible solution, mPress, is the first EMV Chip-and-PIN mPOS solution in South Africa and has positioned the company competitively in the mobile ePayments industry. Furthermore, MicroBank+ creates the opportunity for iVeri to target a broader banking customer base just as it enables its customers to broaden their reach through the simplified on-boarding of the unbanked community.”

iVeri has recognised the need to reach the unbanked populations and has positioned itself as a solutions provider not only in South Africa but in Namibia Lesotho, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Angola, Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia, with plans to reach three more countries by the end of 2015.
