NMB Bank has started offering its services through the MaxMalipo agency banking, in a bid to reach more customers.
The development comes after a successful piloting of the project in Kigamboni-Dar es Salaam, Dodoma and Arusha regions.
This was unveiled at the weekend by the NMB Information Officer, Ms Doris Kilale, at the promotion held in Kigamboni-Dar es Salaam.
The services going by the name of NMB agency will be made available in retail shops that deliver MaxMalipo services. This will bring closer the banking services to the financially underserved rural areas.
“NMB is pioneering technological advancement in the banking sector by bringing new products that could give more customer satisfaction,” she said.
She added, “NMB customers will have no need to queue in the bank branches or ATMs for the services that could easily be available in the MaxMalipo.” Through MaxMalipo agency, customers can open new bank account and get an ATM card at the same point of sale.
