Payment Alliance International (PAI) is pleased to announce the election of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Gregory Sahrmann, as co-chair of the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) U.S. board of directors. Sahrmann’s co-chair partner is Steve Gernes, ISO segment manager, from Elan Financial Services. They will officially assume their roles at the next ATMIA U.S. board meeting to be held in conjunction with the “ATMIA US Conference 2014” in Orlando, Fla., February 11-13.
As an independent, non-profit trade association, ATMIA’s mission is to promote ATM convenience, growth and usage worldwide; protect the ATM industry’s assets, interests, good name and public trust; and to provide education, best practices, political voice and networking opportunities for member organizations.
Tom Harper, ATMIA president and president of NetWorld Alliance, the publisher of ATMmarketplace.com, stated, “Greg Sahrmann is a strong addition to the U.S. board. His experience, knowledge and industry standing will help ATMIA expand its leadership role as the U.S. market continues to evolve and draw regulatory attention.”
Payment Alliance International is one of the largest ATM deployers in North America, with more than 60,000 locations in the PAI Alliance Network. Uniquely positioned in the payments marketplace, PAI offers custom ATM branding and management programs, including an ATM cobranding program for units located in Rite Aid stores across the country; a variety of electronic payment solutions for retailers; referral programs for financial institutions; market partner distributor programs that encompass credit and debit processing, check services, cash management solutions; and retail ATM programs and services.
“I’m excited to co-chair the ATMIA U.S. board with Steve Gernes,” says Sahrmann. “Together, we will help ATMIA shape change in the ATM industry and move the Association forward to achieve its mission,” adds Sahrmann.
